About Me
Ashley is a Chicago-based paintress hailing from sunny Los Angeles. Her paintings are self-indulgent depictions of alternate universes; outside the pool amidst her astroturf oasis and inside of her pepto-bismol-pink childhood bedroom, she reckons with the barrier that separates now and then with her tongue lodged firmly in her cheek. Every painting is punchy and squishy--they say, “Look at me!”, then say, “Don’t look at me!”, but of course they don’t say anything at all because they’re paintings.

For you, I have created a delicate and solipsistic creative ecosystem of introspection and self-duplication to the point of malfunction. It is autocannibalistic narcissism and a paper-thin justification for maladaptive daydreaming at its worst–and at its best, it is oil paint. I am an unabashed ouroboros and I love you.
